I'm happy to repeatedly walk around this city taking photos and eating every food I see.
On this freezing night of my first day back in London, I was fully intended to sit down and start writing my journalism law essay, but of course, I'm too jet lagged to do so. oh, well. So here I am, presenting you a few snap shots from the first day of my Tokyo trip two weeks ago. Which I come to think, for someone who visits Japan so much, my Japanese is pretty bad. I tend to ask questions, and realise I don't understand a word those friendly Tokyo people reply. Even so, I'm still so happy to repeatedly walk around this city taking photos and violently eating every food I see. There's always goole translate after all.
Indeed, the population of Tokyo is somewhat overwhelming, and most streets are overloaded with signs, and yet, it doesn't seem to exhaust you. In fact, I'm always terribly hyper when I'm there. And there was also these amazing pancakes from Clinton St. Bakery-the BEST I've ever had. Warm and fluffy. Not to mention the gigantic christmas tree in Disney Land. I reckon Disney Land is one of the best places to celebrate days like Christmas and NYE, don't you think? For me, it is the first 24 hour of your trip that really reflects the sense of travelling. The excitement of looking outside the taxi window, wondering what will rest of the trip be like. The beauty of guessing.
Meanwhile, back here in London, I'm dramatically jet lagged with tuns of deadlines ahead of me. Argh, the side effect of long holidays! Now, time for bed.
